It is with deep regret that the HYPE Fleet monthly Discos will no longer be running with immediate effect.
Charlotte Tickner the Chair of HYPE said " with regular falling numbers the event is continually losing money, despite the extraordinary attempts by the team to attract attendees, the core committee cannot afford to continue to haemorrhage losses and the personal liabilities this involves, and have decided with a deep heart , after 19 years that Society has changed and we must respond accordingly so we will no longer be able to put on these events in future".
We wish to thank the huge numbers of volunteers who ,over the years, have made the event so popular and safe, leaving fond memories for hundreds of young people who have grown up in the District said Mike Collen who was one of the events founders in 1999.
Over the years the event has benefitted many people, not just young clubbers but many D of E candidates, people and organisations who needed some support financially and with guidance, the Police have been great partners and they have seen a strong bond from their involvement with the young people which has helped make Fleet a great place to live.
